The Yoga Room welcomes Danielle Blain, RYT 500, to our staff! Danielle will offer two classes per week on our online platform on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:15 PM.
Gentle Yoga/Yoga Nidra: A 30 minute gentle yoga class prepares your body for 20-30 minutes of Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep. The vinyasa portion will begin with simple breathing exercises leading into a gentle asana practice, followed by 20-30 minutes of Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation that promotes healing and deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra is an awakened state hovering between sleeping and dreaming. You will leave feeling refreshed, focused and very rested. You will be lying on your back for the meditation and may need a blanket or pillow for neck support.
Danielle’s yoga journey began in 2007. As she began to feel the transformation yoga had in her life, she felt inspired to share the gift of yoga with others. Her love of yoga led her to study yoga philosophy, asana, chanting and meditation with Baba Ram Dass, Lex Gillan and the devotees of Self Realization Fellowship. For these opportunities, she is forever grateful. She believes the mind, body, soul connection is a sacred one, and one that should be nurtured and inspired. With that mentality, she teaches her classes from her heart, creating an uplifting, safe environment for students to begin to explore and expand within their own body and consciousness. Danielle is an RYT 500 certified yoga instructor, a certified meditation instructor, a certified yoga nidra instructor and a student of yoga. Her yoga classes are grounded in strength, anatomical detail and mindfulness. Danielle offers detailed verbal cues and expert hands on assists to help her students find a fuller experience in their yoga practice. She emphasizes breath and proper alignment in each of her classes. Her students can expect to explore their strengths, develop focus, and learn to find balance on and off the mat.
