Rolling Your Way into Rest and Recovery with Monica WoodMost of us know how to work hard, but do you know how to rest well?  If you’re like me, rest is not something I consistently do well.  Aches and pains, stress from work or just racing thoughts can interfere with getting a good night’s sleep.  Rest and recovery are two essential elements in building a stronger, more resilient mind and body.  One problem that many people have is learning how to actually calm down the nervous system to allow ourselves to rest well.In this workshop you will be taught techniques to facilitate a relaxation response in the body using therapy balls and breathing techniques.  The therapy balls will loosen the tight muscles and fascia that can be causing discomfort that will hinder your ability to relax.  Adding specific breath practices will deepen the experience of calming down the body and mind.Whether you are an athlete training for an event, a busy mom, a stressed out student or a woman in menopause this workshop is one you don’t want to miss.To get the most effective experience, this will be held in the evening to get you ready for a good night’s sleep.Monday, August 285:45-7:45$30
